A recent study by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) concludes that almost 50% of honey imported into the European Union is adulterated with additives, coloring or with practices that seek to mask its true origin.
It is a fraud that generates unfair competition for producers and negatively impacts consumers who end up paying the price of honey for something that is far removed from its essential nutrients.

RAW
Erleak honey is raw because it has not been subjected to pasteurization processes.
These industrial processes destroy essential properties of honey. At erleak we follow an artisanal process that is based on three steps: collecting the honey from the honeycomb, filtering it to eliminate impurities and packaging it to send it to you. Respecting this tradition allows us to preserve the essential nutrients in our honey so you can experience the essence of nature from home.
The hallmarks of raw erleak honey are: its intense flavor, its accentuated thickness and its gradual crystallization over time.
NATURAL
Erleak honey is natural because it is born in the most remote places of the Cantabrian coast.
Our bees fly over the humid forests, the green valleys and the cliffs of the Bay of Biscay in search of nectar from the flowers of clover, bramble or chestnut. They live among falcons and lynxes in a unique landscape characterized by its biodiversity and the richness of a natural environment far from our daily lives.
