Pollen

Our pollen provides energy thanks to its plant proteins. Its balls are the result of a process that begins when the bee lands on a flower and collects the pollen from the stamens in the baskets on its hind legs. Once perched there, the bee sticks its tongue into the calyx of the flower to extract the nectar that it will mix with the collected pollen dust. The mixture is the balls that they transport to the hive where they deposit it with the help of their head and add lactic acid to prevent fermentation.
